NEET-UG (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-Undergraduate)
The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate) or NEET, formerly the All India Pre-Medical Test, is an all India pre-medical entrance test for students who wish to pursue MBBS.
NEET exam is very important because it is the only medical entrance exam conducted in India. This includes the admission to MBBS course in all government medical institutes and also the admissions to AIIMS and JIPMER. As entrance examinations to AIIMS and JIPMER have been replaced by NEET.

Qualification Criteria
- The applicants must clear the qualifying exam from a recognized board with an individual pass in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English.
- An aggregate of 50% marks (40% for OBC/SC/ST and OBC-PH/SC-PH/ST-PH & 45% for General-PH) in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology is also necessary.
- The appearing candidates are also eligible to apply for the exam.
Eligibility for 15% All India Quota Seats
The applicants of Indian national/ OCIs/ NRIs/ PIOs/ FNs are eligible for 15% All India Quota Seats. The candidates of Jammu & Kashmir, who have opted for seats under All India Quota, will have to submit a copy of the system-generated Self-Declaration.
